Better than "almost" anything cake AKA: Better than Sex Cake

Hello, hello! Can I just say this has got to be one of the best cake recipes of
all time. I whipped this up the other night for some company we had over and
it was a hit. What's not to like about chocolate, caramel, whipped topping,
Heath bar topping, and let's not forget the condensed milk. We are not even
going to talk about the calories...here we go

Here's what you need:

1 package German chocolate cake mix..I use Devil's Food

Water, oil, and eggs as called for on cake mix directions

1 can(14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1 jar(17 ounces) caramel, butterscotch, or fudge topping

1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 bag toffee chips or bits

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Blake cake as directed on package
for 13x9-inch pan. Cool for 15 minutes.

Poke top of warm cake every 1/2" with a handle of a wooden
spoon, wiping handle occasionally to reduce sticking.

Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the cake: let
stand until milk is absorbed into cake. Next drizzle caramel topping. Cover
and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled.

Spread whipped topping over top of the cake. Sprinkle with toffee chips.
Cover and refrigerate or eat as soon as possible!

Have you ever made this recipe or tried it?
Try this one, it's heavenly!

  1. I love this cake but agree that better than almost anything cake is a more apt title. ;) Yummy, wish I could have had some of this with you. Maybe in June?

  2. I know...right! That cake is terrible on diets. You just keep eating and eating. Yum! Thanks for the reminder on that one. Although I don't know if it would be wise to make it? Hey...if you get a chance stop over and link up and the Stinky Linky Party...it's lonely.

  4. YUMMO!!! That is some dangerous stuff there lady.

Here's a tip: mix up those toffee bits with a container of cream cheese, a little confectioners sugar and a drop or two of vanilla...serve with apple slices. Whoa.

  5. This is my family's favorite dessert! I've been making this for several years now. I put two cans of condensed milk (because I can drink the stuff from the can) and no caramel. I literally sit and eat it from the casserole dish when no one is looking...shhh
I found you through the blog hop. I see a lot of great things on your blog! I'm a new follower!
