Howdy all! I was out the other day at our local ReStore, did I
mention I frequent ours? I'm supporting our community, that's right.
I happen to spot a ton of these lamps and just had to buy a couple.
They were $5 a piece, score!. Isn't there an old saying out there somewhere
that if you ever see a "matching" pair of lamps while thrifting to buy them?
I think these lamps all came from a hotel. This would also explain the dozens
of Holiday Inn garbage cans for sale...I'll pass on those.
Wooden and brassy, aren't they are screaming "paint me!"
RustOleum: Aqua
Bought two shades from Target, spent $14 per shade.
Total cost per lamp:
Lamp base: $5.00
Had the paint on hand and too hard to figure the price on this
Lamp shade: $14.00
Total per lamp is around $19.00 x 2 = $38.00 for the pair
I have been working on our Piano room for awhile now and thought I
should turn over my IKEA Expedit shelving unit. It's perfect for my new
lamps. What do you think?
I have some painting going on tomorrow, all I can say is Gray Owl....pictures
coming soon
Looking good! I like the expedit on it's side. :) Are you excited for the paint?
